Ground-breaking masterplan and refurbishment of the Rusticus Care Home specialising in the care of residents with dementia.
Leonard Design were responsible for drawing up the proposals and designs for all three phases of the development at Rusticus Care Home. The first two phases focus on the refurbishment of the existing home to increase the size of existing private and communal rooms and to integrate these with the outdoor space. This has involved several extensions to the existing building, a new entrance and new landscaping.
Phase 3 is a ground-breaking masterplan for the entire site to enliven the home and gardens to create a space that feels safe and familiar for residents at Rusticus. The masterplan includes a public plaza which features an ancillary café, post office, shops and hair salon which are complimented through specialist landscape design and planting.
