Progress on The Waterside Apartments has continued at a great pace during the first couple of months of this year with visible progress now evident as you enter the city from South.
Overlooking the River Trent, The Waterside Apartments are a prominent building was once home to the local council but have been vacant for many years. Leonard Design were approached to progress and develop a concept which involved the reuse of the existing building adding 121 apartments. In addition to the conversion of the existing building, the scheme also introduced two new build residential towers (North and South) and duplex luxury penthouses.
The existing building refurb has seen significant progress including first fix to several apartments with several apartments on level 1 now fully boarded out (left). These units are complete with ‘Halo’ ceiling features as one would expect to see in high end city living. The Juliet balcony sliding doors installation is commencing well with over half now complete (right).
The steel frame to both new build towers, flanking each end of the existing building, have commenced with both the North & South Towers 90% and 50% complete respectively (below). Later this month will see the installation of the curtain wall, another milestone for the construction process.
The beautifully designed and appointed marketing suite, within the Waterside Apartments building, also opened earlier this month which has seen significant interest from prospective buyers, as it allows them to touch and feel the quality of fixtures. The whole scheme is gaining a vast amount of interest within Nottingham with over 70% of the units either reserved or sold.
