Following last week’s Interiors Team announcement, we are delighted to announce 2 more promotions within the team. These internal promotions will further strengthen our team to allow us to continue to grow and succeed.
Matt Sandhu – Associate Director
During 2012, Matt worked with director David Leonard in the Nottingham office on a number of projects and incoming feasibility studies. Following a year of development and residential work in a London practice Matt re-joined the Leonard team in 2014 at the London Office where he managed resource across the office whilst working on local London projects and nationally focusing on rethinking the role of shopping centres into mixed-use masterplans. Matt went on to take a lead in developing international regeneration work and secured a number of prestigious clients.
Always an active member of the team, Matt formed the Leonard design Football Team and was known for hosting great team parties on his huge roof terrace at his flat in London! Along with working at Leonard Design Matt also sits on the charity board of Boxing is Love who do brilliant work across the world.
Recently, Matt has taken a senior role on a large project, looking after securing planning and the development of the masterplan.
We are delighted this month to announce the promotion of Matt Sandhu to Associate Director.
Mike Ellis – Senior Associate
Mike first joined Leonard Design in 2007 working on a number of large-scale projects both internationally and in the UK. Following a number of years running his own practice, Mike returned in 2018.
Since returning to Leonard Design, Mike has taken the lead on a number of projects and has been growing work with clients on a wide variety of projects. As the practice has moved into Life sciences, we are hoping to use Mike’s skills to grow the work in this sector along with using Mike’s extensive experience in residential and conversion work too.
Mike has also been part of the team responsible for the delivery of the ‘Career Planning Sessions’ for the team, setting the agenda for the year with the team, maintaining consistency in the approach for the whole team and putting huge amounts of time, effort & care in supporting personal growth for everyone at Leonard Design, an incredibly important part of the “People Development” part of our business plan.
