We want the shirt (and the suit) off your back!

Leaving prison and gaining employment can be a very daunting task. However, going to an interview smartly dressed can make a huge difference to your mentality, approach & confidence level. Therefore, we are looking for donations of your old suits, shirts & ties to be donated to the brilliant team at HMP Nottingham.

Director John Morgan has been working closely with HMP Nottingham, the Employment Advisory Board & The Timpson Foundation to help inmates feel ready when looking for employment. John spoke passionately about the initiative, stating “when I checked in my wardrobe, I had suits I know I will never slim back in to and so there is no point in keeping them any longer. Donating them to HMP Nottingham felt a great thing to do, especially as I have seen first-hand people grow in confidence when they feel dressed for the part to face the challenge of an interview which has the potential to change the course of their life & the lives of their family forever.

“So, blokes please do take a look in your wardrobe – HMP Nottingham is a male prison and so we only need men’s clothes for our prison – but ladies feel free to make some space in your wardrobe and donate some of your partners suits … you know the ones you never really did like anyway! And let’s change the course of someone’s life this year.”

If you have a suit, you know you will never wear again and would like to donate, then feel free to call our office on 0330 165 7889 or email office@leonard.design and we will arrange for a member of the team to collect it from you. We will also be grateful for any items dropped off at the Leonard Design Office at Albion House, 5-13 Canal Street, NG1 7EG – pop in and find out more about this brilliant initiative helping offenders to break the cycle of returning to prison by getting them job ready, supported & into work.
