Leonard Design, is collaborating with Wilmott Dixon & Milligan on this ambitious overall Visioning Project as part of a wider regeneration initiative for the region.

Breathing New Life into The Strand
The £70 million scheme promises to deliver a vibrant new chapter for Torquay’s harbourside. Stretching across a 0.91-acre site between iconic local landmarks, the proposal features a 154-bedroom boutique hotel designed by Kay Elliott, carefully curated commercial spaces, and striking design elements such as a sweeping staircase to improve connectivity between the harbourside and The Terrace.
The project is estimated to create 80 full-time equivalent jobs, £32 million in wages, and draw in 86,000 visitors over a 30-year period. This transformative vision is designed to enhance Torquay’s unique waterfront character while boosting the local economy and attracting new investors to the area and it a key piece of the overall vision for Torbay.
