Leonard Design is proud to support Material Worlds – a bold exhibition at Lakeside Arts, University of Nottingham, that explores the radical and imaginative use of textiles in contemporary art. Curated by Caroline Achaintre, this Hayward Gallery Touring exhibition from the Southbank Centre, London, invites visitors to experience the everyday made extraordinary through works that challenge ideas of identity, heritage, and the body.

“We’re proud to support Material Worlds, a powerful and thought-provoking exhibition that celebrates the creative potential of textiles in contemporary art. It’s a privilege to partner with Lakeside Arts and the University of Nottingham to bring this exhibition, originally from the Southbank Centre in London, to the City of Nottingham. Material Worlds champions work that challenges perceptions, explores identity and heritage, and inspires new ways of thinking.”

In tandem with our sponsorship, we’re collaborating with the Lakeside Arts team on a transformational redesign of some of the front-of-house spaces in Lakeside Arts’ DH Lawrence Pavilion and Djanogly Gallery buildings. Our work reimagines the arrival experience, creating a clearer, more intuitive journey through the buildings while supporting a wider range of artistic, cultural, and community activities. We’re excited to play a part in shaping the future of Lakeside Arts, just as Material Worlds reshapes how we experience the materials of everyday life.
