Inspired by the idea of a personal monogram – individual, timeless and classic – we created a new brand identity for a high-end bar and lounge located on Nottingham’s Trent Bridge.
We drew on the meaning of the brand name, whilst partially relating to the nearby Trent Bridge cricket ground, we also took it to imply a clear vision and perfection. The symmetry and balance of the wording lent itself to adopting an elegant serif style font and a contrasting sans serif descriptor.
We explored a number of typographic iterations that resulted in a wordmark with a carefully designed, crafted and unique combination of characters, that could also be deconstructed and implemented as brackets or a framing device for text and graphics on menus, signage, merchandise and bespoke branded packaging.
The use of a flexible black, white and gold colour way, as well as blind embossing, further enhanced the exclusive and high quality look and feel of the brand.
